Grip Tyres in Bicester joins the First Stop Network
One of Bicester’s oldest and most popular tyre centres is motoring into an exciting future after becoming the latest independent garage to join the First Stop network.
Grip Tyres, based in Victoria Road, is already benefiting from the automotive partnership, with new signage, marketing and social media support and a broader range of premium tyres already in place.
Additional services have also been added in recent weeks, including an MOT station and the latest vehicle diagnostic equipment, worth thousands of pounds. The business itself has been coming to the aid of motorists in the town for around 27 years and its popularity in the community was a compelling factor behind First Stop’s initial approach.
Owner Abi Nassery said the announcement represented a first year anniversary present for Grip Tyres, having only taken over the helm 12 months ago.
He said: “To be backed by a national brand like First Stop is huge for us and we are already noticing the differences. I am at my happiest when our customers are happy, and that has been the case ever since we took over here.

One such benefit is access to Bridgestone and Firestone’s latest supply of premium and mid-range tyres, many of which are best-in-class in wet braking and handling.
He added: “The tyres are amongst the very best in the industry and the association with Bridgestone is a very compelling one for us. The sales campaigns that both brands provide us with are very attractive too. It really is a win-win situation for us to be on board with First Stop.”
