Can you see clearly now the rain is falling?!

Can you see the road ahead clearly on those rainy days?

With the damp days we are experiencing currently, having a clean windscreen is paramount to avoiding unsightly smears, ensuring that the road ahead is clear and that you can see ‘all obstacles in your way’.

It couldn’t be simpler to keep your windscreen clean either. By using a simple household glass cleaner and a microfibre cloth, you can pick up any pieces of dirt hidden in small cracks whilst removing any grease and grime that has built up on your journeys.

By cleaning the outside first, it’ll allow you to easily see any grime on the inside; be that from sneezing or small specks of dust that have built up whilst on the move. It’s probably best to avoid using glass cleaner on the inside of the windscreen; using warm water will easily pick up any dust or debris left over.

Then, most vitally, top up your screen wash. Although having the liquid in your vehicle is not a legal requirement, ensuring that you have clear vision is. Plus, it’s an easy way to spray dirt out of your eye-line to keep you on the straight and narrow. It’s not that expensive too, with a good quality screen wash costing around £2.50 to £5.00.

Carrying a micro-fibre cloth around with you makes life easy too. If you get bugs or bird mess on your vehicle, you can pull over and easily spray away any excess that your wipers haven’t cleared.

When the weather is so grim too, obscured vision can be one of the biggest causes of road accidents. Least with a clear windscreen you can arrive at your destination safely, even if you don’t want to face a downpour when you’ve parked up!
