Frequently asked questions
No, it's not the same.
Alignment involves setting the wheels on each axle in parallel, and the axles parallel to each other, adjusting wheel angles so that the car steering does not drift to one side, as well as ensuring driver comfort and good grip for the tyres, thus guaranteeing safety at the wheel.
Balancing is a mechanical process of adjusting the wheels to prevent vehicle vibration at any speed, no matter what type of driving is used.
The modern car is built for comfort, performance and handling. In order to achieve and maintain the best ride possible, the steering and suspension needs to be measured and adjusted within the motor manufacturer’s specifications. This can only be done by measuring all four wheels and having a proper full four wheel alignment measurement.
Wheel alignment can be affected by hitting the kurb or a large pothole in the road or travelling regularly on gravel roads. If alignment is out, it can cause excessive wear to your tyres and problems with steering or suspension.

"Amazing service!! Thanks Dan!!!"

"I would definitely recommend this place. My MOT was up. My regular person was too far away to sort my MOT (my fault) 😱 it failed 🫣 they sorted the work, and the price was just what I could have expected. THANK YOU."

"Excellent service. Had a slow puncture, turned out to just be leaking from around the valve. Sorted and no charge."

"MOTs seem to be a source of 'Work Generation' for this garage.... Took my car in this time last year only for it to fail on 'Dangerous: Rear brake pads less than 1.5mm thickness'. I was surprised as I used to work in an MOT garage and had given the car a 'pre-MOT' at home - I had seen that they were getting low, but still had about 3mm ish (the limit for a simple advisory) left, as far as I could see. The car was, in fact, already booked into another garage a couple of weeks later for them to be changed as part of an annual service. As it had failed I assumed there was one pad that was worn unevenly in some way that I could not see without the car being on a ramp, so I took it home and did the pads and discs myself on the driveway over the weekend as I needed the car the following week: Of the 4 rear pads only one was below the 3mm limit for an 'Advisory', and this was at 2.7-2.8mm (measured with Vernier callipers). The others were all 3-4mm. None was even remotely close to 1.5mm. I took the pads in with me when I went back for the retest and showed the tester - no apology, he just shrugged. I have only just remembered this as The MOT reminder email has just arrived. Three stars as at least the retest was free..."
